In time for Mother’s Day, we’re excited to share the latest “My Houzz” video, starring actress Taraji P. Henson as she surprises her stepmother, Angie, with a kitchen, living room and dining room renovation to her Washington, D.C., area home. Taraji met Angie when she was 16 years old and says, “I just loved her right away.” Today, Angie lives in the house that she and Taraji’s father purchased and lived in together until he passed.
Taraji works with Stephanie Gamble Interiors and Winchester Construction, both from the Houzz community, to create a space that’s uniquely Angie’s, while still honoring her father. She uses Houzz throughout the process to share ideas and purchase all the products and materials. The end result is a beautiful space with soft touches, modern finishes and lots of light.
