Our Mobile App Gets an Update

We’re always looking for ways to make it even easier and more fun for Houzzers to tackle their home renovation and design projects. The new version of our popular Houzz App for iPhone®, iPad® and iPod® touch will do just that, thanks to two helpful updates:

Access Key Features with a Single Tap Houzzers can now easily switch between browsing photos for inspiration, shopping for products and finding professionals. A new menu that will remain static at the bottom of the screen provides one-touch access to the Photos, Find a Pro and Shop features at any time.

If a particular image captures a Houzzer’s attention, the new vertical home feed lets them instantly find similar photos by room and style. Houzzers will still have the ability to horizontally scroll through photos one-by-one, as well.

An updated search experience lets Houzzers search all of the content across Houzz, and receive results for photos, stories, professionals and discussions all in one place.

A New and Improved “Your Houzz” A new, streamlined process for sharing photos via the Houzz App includes the ability to take a photo within the app, or upload a photo from the camera roll, and save it directly to an ideabook.

Houzzers’ profiles and ideabooks also now live on the same page of the Houzz App, bringing these popular features into one place. By tapping the “Add or Edit Collaborators” button prominently displayed at the top of their ideabooks, Houzzers can even more easily share and collaborate with professionals, family members and anyone else involved in the project. An “Ask a Question” button at the top of their profile also lets Houzzers quickly ask the Houzz community for advice.

In addition to these updates, thanks to new “Today in Houzz” functionality, the latest news from Houzz can now be found right in the Today view of the iPhone®, iPad® and iPod® touch’s Notification Center. The new version of the Houzz App also lets Houzzers easily upload photos to their ideabooks from any app on their device, through a new “Houzz Share” extension.

The Houzz App now supports our Houzzers in Italy, Japan, Russia and Spain, as well! Houzzers in these countries can find and chat with local professionals, during local hours, through the updated app. Houzzers can also read home improvement and design stories in the national languages of these countries.

Globally, the Houzz App has more than 140,000 reviews with a five-star average rating. The app provides people with everything they need to improve their homes from start to finish, from decorating a small room to building a custom home and everything in between.

The Houzz App is available for free from the App Store for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
